What is Rewind Protocol and Forward (FWD)?

Rewind is a cashback service that allows you to earn a percentage of every purchase you make with affiliated merchants. This cashback is returned to you in the form of our onsite USDT-backed cryptocurrency, Forward (FWD).

How does the cashback service work?

When you make a purchase on a merchant’s website, a portion of that amount is added to a backing, or crowdsourced, pool. Most of this money is then used to mint, or generate, new tokens at their current market price, which are distributed as cashback. A smaller part is simply added to the backing pool, so every time someone makes a purchase and receives cashback, the price of all the tokens grows. To claim your rewards, you simply need to connect your crypto-wallet to our cashback service on the Polygon blockchain network.

What can I do with the tokens I receive as cashback?

The tokens you receive as cashback can be exchanged for bonuses at the merchant’s site or traded for real money by burning them, which takes them out of circulation. The price of the tokens grows over time, so holding onto them can increase their value.

Is there a time limit to claim my rewards?

Yes, you must claim your rewards within 30 days of the purchase being made. If you do not claim your rewards, they will be added to the shared jackpot pool.

Can I sell my tokens back to the merchant?

Within the first 6 months of the launch date, you can sell your tokens back to the merchant at half the price. After that, you can trade your tokens for real money by burning them, taking them out of circulation.

How to identify FWD tokens in your wallet?

The tokens will be displayed in your wallet only if you have connected it to the widget and claimed your FWD rewards.

Follow these simple steps to add the Rewind Protocol Token contract address:

  1. Open your wallet interface and click on the “Add Tokens” or “Import Tokens” button.
  2. Paste the Rewind Protocol contract address 0xC9dF967627121D67BC120fAdb291C3BA5800aB2d into the “Token Contract Address” field in the Profile. NB! Make sure you have selected the Matic (Polygon) Mainnet network.
  3. If you wish to check the balance of any token operating on the Polygon Network, including FWD, please visit polygonscan.com and search for your wallet address to access publicly available information.

The easiest way to view token balances in your wallet is through the Rewind Protocol widget on the merchant’s website.

How does the backing pool work?

For every purchase made, 3/5 of the backing pool is used to mint, or generate, new tokens at their current price, and 2/5 of the backing pool is added back to the backing pool. The backing, or crowdsourced, pool grows with every purchase made, which, in turn, increases the value of the tokens. Burning tokens has no impact on token price.
